Pilgrimage

2024 Annual Investiture Weekend

A pilgrimage is planned to Historic Jamestowne celebrating the rich history of Catholicism in Virginia.  Mass will be celebrated at the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham in Williamsburg. There is a fee of $50 per person which includes bus transportation, admission to Historic Jamestowne, and a box lunch. Knights and Dames may also drive themselves.

Please note that we will be visiting Historic Jamestowne, the Federal Park and archaeological site, and not Jamestown Settlement, which is a living-history museum with reenactment actors.

Historic Jamestowne

Our day will start in Historic Jamestowne with a lecture on recent archaeological discoveries that indicate a secret Catholic presence within the thoroughly Protestant Jamestowne. We will also have time to view artifacts and tour the museum.
